Show answer and explanation

Answer: C, D (official GATE 2024 final answer key)

Concept used: Regular languages are closed under complement and union; a non-regular language's complement is non-regular.

First step: Test (B) with L1=Σ∗L_1 = \Sigma^*, and note that L1∩L2‾=ϕL_1 \cap \overline{L_2} = \phi only says L1⊆L2L_1 \subseteq L_2.
